About Us
The Meeple Crew

Katharina
Head of Operations,
Kitchen Fairy and Number Juggler
Whether I’m baking or playing board games, I love being creative and trying new things.
I’ve been an enthusiastic gamer since childhood, and when I discovered cooperative games, my passion was reignited.
I love baking and have always dreamed of having my own place. With Meeple und Macchiato, that dream has finally come true.”
Patrik
Deputy Head of Operations, Social Media Wizard, and Explainer Bear
An enthusiastic full‑on nerd and coffee addict!
My journey started with video games and eventually led me to board games — good grief! And since I absolutely love coffee, I was instantly fired up about the idea of opening a board‑game café.
You’ll usually find me behind the espresso machine or right at the table with our guests.

Our Games
Our board and card games are ideal for beginners while also offering exciting options for more experienced players.
We regularly update our selection by rotating out older titles and adding new ones.
To give you a clear overview of all available games, we’ve created a list on BoardGameGeek, accessible through a link on our website.
Our Color System
We now have over 500 board and card games in our café. The following color system is designed to help you find the game that’s right for you.

Easy and quick-to-learn games (Family Games)
These games are easy to pick up and quick to explain — perfect for a smooth and effortless start. For many of them, we’re happy to give you a short introduction and help you get started.

More complex games with greater time investment (connoisseur games)
These games are more complex and take longer to play. They often include several interlocking mechanics. We recommend looking through the rules beforehand — YouTube is a great source for helpful rules videos. For some games, we also offer additional support and explain the most important rules right on site.

Very complex games with high time investment (expert games)
⚠️ Attention: These games are highly complex and require a significant amount of time to learn. They include numerous interlocking mechanics and sometimes different rules depending on the role you play. Make sure to plan enough time — thorough rule study is essential. For these games, we do not offer support or explanations.

Games that work well or best with 2 players
The blue dot marks games that are especially well‑suited — or exclusively designed — for two players. Of course, you can play many other games with two players as well; the marking is simply a recommendation. ‘Blue’ games exist across all difficulty levels. For some of these games, we also offer a short rules explanation and help you get started.

Suitable for groups of up to 6 or more players
You’re a large group and looking for a game? No problem! The pink dot helps you quickly find suitable titles for at least six players. “Pink” games exist across all difficulty levels. For some of these games, we offer a short rules explanation and help you get started.

Language‑neutral game material.
We have a wide selection of language‑independent games. This means you can play them in any language — as long as you have the appropriate rulebook. Many of these games already include an English rulebook. “Orange” games exist across all difficulty levels. For some of these games, we offer a short rules explanation and help you get started.

English‑only games
We offer a selection of games in English. Both the game components and the rulebook are available exclusively in English. “English” games exist across all difficulty levels. For some of these games, we provide a short rules explanation and help you get started.
